The Marquette County Landfill is owned by the municipalities of Marquette County, supervised by an appointed Board of Trustees, and overseen by the Authority Director. The Landfill offers many waste disposal and recycling services to Marquette County residents, including drop-off recycling, household hazardous waste collections and a drug take back program. Please help us keep our county clean by tarping loads.
The Authority is committed to the best management of the county’s solid waste through education, recycling, and proper disposal in order to protect the environment. The Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority shall set solid waste management policy and solid waste system implementation in consultation with the Marquette County Board of Commissioners and the Marquette County Planning Commission.
The landfill site does not accept any payments, therefore, residents must obtain a landfill permit from their city or township before dropping off any waste at the landfill site.
The permit is used so that all payments are made through the municipalities rather than at the landfill site. Before making a trip out here, contact your municipality to find out what their procedure is.
Please help us keep our county clean by tarping every single load.
If a customer arrives at the landfill without a tarp, they will be refused service.
ALL HAULERS MUST WEIGH-OUT BEFORE LEAVING THE LANDFILL SITE. IF YOU DO NOT WEIGH-OUT, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE ENTIRE WEIGHT OF YOUR VEHICLE.
