Find out how you can haul your waste to the Marquette County Landfill! A permit is required, but below are some of our free services that don’t require a permit.
The Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority was founded to meet the waste disposal needs and protect the interests of Marquette County residents. Marquette County is indebted to the men and women who brought together the entire County in a strong agreement that will do what is best for Marquette County residents.
The landfill is open Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm. (See our holiday schedule.) Due to construction on the bridge and on the premises please be prepared for delays until further notice. Scale hours are the same. Monday – Friday 7 am to 3 pm.
There are two major construction projects occurring which may impact haulers.
First, the bridge on County Road NP (landfill access road) will be replaced. During construction, a temporary bridge will be utilized.
Second, the construction of the new administration and materials management building will begin near our front gate. During construction, a temporary access road to the weigh scales will be constructed. The estimated completion date for both projects is October-November 2018.
Please allow additional time for delays that may occur. We will make every effort to keep hauler traffic flowing as efficient as possible. Our hours will remain the same through this construction period Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Thank you in advance for your patience.
